Presidents Weekend 2009

Saturday February 14 - 16, 2009

 

Training

 

    There will be a mandatory Training session for all participants on Saturday November 22, 2008 at the Winnebago Scout Reservation Dining Hall.

 

    Adult Leader Advisor Training                         1pm - 2pm

    Scout and Adult Leader Advisor Training         2pm - 5pm

    All participants that pass the Winter Camping Training Course will be issued a O'kpik Certification card that is valid for 3 years.

• Winter Camping - Why would anyone go winter camping?

• Homeostasis - how the body adapts to the heat and cold

• Dressing for success!

• Sleeping systems

• Shelter Options

• Food, Water and Sanitation on a Winter Adventure

• Prevention of Cold Injuries
