COME JOIN KING DAN ON A MEDIEVAL ADVENTURE THIS SUMMER!!!

 

            Medieval Theme- Come join our staff as we slay dragons, meet wizards and search for treasure in the mighty kingdom of Camp Wheeler!

 

          Check out our new WELOTECA Program!

ARCHEOLOGY- Learn about the rich history of Northwestern New Jersey! As we dig for arrowheads, colonial artifacts, and geological treasures amidst the actual ruins of old Frenches mill.

MOUNTAIN BIKING- A brand new program for our WEBELOS scouts.  Scouts will learn how to properly take care of a bike and ride  along some Mt. Allamuchy’s famous mountain biking trails.  Scouts at all times on bikes will be required to wear helmets.

WELOTECA- is a brand new overnight program offered by the Mt. Allamuchy Scout Reservation at Camp Wheeler with two sessions. The first is July 18th-20th, and the second is August 8th-10th.  Please click on the WELOTECA link  for more information

EXPANDED BOULDERING WALL- Test your climbing skills on our new expanded bouldering wall.

Labyrinth-  See if you can navigate through our expanded labyrinth as you answer riddles, and pass through physical obstacles to find dragon treasure.

WEBELOS SLEEPOVER- If your child is a WEBELOS (entering the fourth or fifth grade) he will have the opportunity to spend the night over at Mt. Allamuchy Scout Reservation. Working with the Camp Somers Staff (Boy Scout overnight camp) your children will be introduced to some of the programs that they will be available to them next year at Camp Somers.  Scouts will be asked to bring an overnight bag, a change of clothes, sleeping mat, and a sleeping bag with them to camp on Wednesday morning.  Following camp they will then hike over to Camp Somers and be placed in an already set up camp site complete with cots.  They will eat dinner in the dining hall with the boy scouts as well as breakfast in the morning as well as have be provided lunch on Thursday.  Adult supervision is with them at all times and parents are encouraged to come up and spend the night as well. WEBELOS SLEEP OVER!!

DEN PICTURES- Every Monday afternoon scouts will be brought to one of our our many scenic locations to have their picture taken with their den. Parents will be able to order a picture for $5 during orientation and they can either pick it up on Thursday at the campfire or else it would be mailed to their house.
