                                 Welcome to Winnebago Scout Reservation...

                                  Winnebago is located in Rockaway, New Jersey. Situated on nearly

                                                  450 acres in the heart of the Copperas Mountains, Winnebago

                                                  is a hidden Boy Scout Treasure, only 30 miles from the hustle of

                                                  New York City and yet so quiet.  The Reservation encompasses     

                                                  hundreds of acres of woodland for camping, hiking and outdoor

                                                  adventure.  Durham Pond covers 60 acres for swimming, sailing,

                                                  boating and fishing. We are one of the oldest Scout Camps in the

What is there to do at Winnebago Scout Reservation?

                Winnebago Scout Reservation includes the summer camp favorites plus so much more.  W.S.R. offers one of the finest Boy Scout/Cub Scout Programs around. 

•         The Winnebago Historic hikes cover over 70 miles of  hiking and biking trails.  A structured Scouting Program and an excited staff are waiting to help you.

•         Wilderness camping for outpost, wilderness survival, or a high adventure trek is available at the Jim Bowie and Kit Carson wilderness sites.

•         Take an evening hike to Indian Cliffs to enjoy the sunset over the Copperas Mountain and the spectacular view of Split Rock Reservoir. 

•          Our Outpost camping is an experience of a lifetime!

We offer 5 types of Programs during the summer:

•         Residential Troop Camping

•         Provisional Camp Troop

•         Trail to Eagle Program

•         AdVenture Camp

•         Boy Scout DAY Camp

Camp wide Events:

    Try out our Winnebago Frontier Challenge, Winnebago Triathlon and the Winnebago Scout Reservation Night Watch.

Trail to Eagle Program: A week of valuable experience that will assist in achieving your goal of attaining the Eagle rank. The program is designed to guide you though the advancement process, merit badge challenges, and preparation for your service project.  Check out our Trail to Eagle Program.

 

AdVenture Camp: A week  long experience where the Scout will camp in secluded areas of the Winnebago Scout Reservation, canoe, hike, Mountain Bike, experience Team Building activities and outpost cooking. Check it out  Winnebago Adventure Camp.
